My Crafty Secrets

... that title is just a teaser. I wanted to briefly share a photo of my work table today ~ I'm working on a few Christmas items from an awesome company called Crafty Secrets. :) When I'm finished I'll be sure to post pics here.

I also wanted to let you know that in recognition of World Cardmaking day, the Unscripted Gals are having a blog hop Saturday and there may be blog candy involved! Be sure to check back on Saturday.

Unscripted Sketch # 25

This week I used Kirsten, from Paper Makeup Stamps, as the focal image. I took the Unscripted Sketch #25 ... and interpreted it loosely for todays card share. First, the sketch:

Now for my card. As you can tell, I didn't follow the sketch exactly. I lengthened the horizontal piece, and used ribbon for the more narrow horizontal line, I also counted the dandelion as the circular element ... hope that's ok with everyone. :)

One of my favorite things about the sketches is seeing how everyone interprets it. Here is a closer look ... maybe you can see the Spica glitter pen in her hair ... ummm, I love Spica glitter!

Supplies: Paper Makeup Stamps, DCWV cardstock, Basic Grey pattern paper, SU taffeta ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities, sandpaper.

Happy Stampin' y'all,

knock, knock ...

yoo hoo ... has anyone missed me? Maybe not, lol. That's a question I probably shouldn't ask! I just wanted to pop in and say that both our mom's (my husband & I) have been in the hospital and we've just been overwhelmed with life. I'll be back Saturday with a new sketch interpretation from Unscripted Sketches. Until then ... ciao!

Let's talk Snow

Yes, I realize it isn't even fall yet... I'm a little behind in scrapping photos, I'll never be caught up. So my strategy is to just grab the photo that strikes my fancy and scrap away! That's why today's layout (which is also for Unscripted Sketches 23) is from March! First, let's look at the sketch for this week:

We had the best snow ... it was so deep I refer to it as the Blizzard of '09, lol. This is one of my favorite photos from the snow, and also a favorite of my son. My daughter took the photo and I'm so glad she captured her brother in such an interesting way. I just love it!

Believe it or not, I didn't flip the sketch this week. Go me! I love the felt snowflakes too. They are so fun to embellish with. How about a better look?

That's all for today. Thanks for looking, and don't forget to check out Unscripted Sketches.
Be sure to leave your creation in Mr. Linky if you decided to play along.

Anya again

Happy Labor Day! I hope you are able to enjoy the day today.

This is the same Miss Anya Dressy image and the same papers (plus one) as in the previous post. I switched up the colors and it makes so much difference. It's amazing how many different looks you can get from an image.

Supplies: Miss Anya Dressy; Copics; Memento ink; unknown (gifted): ticket corner punch, papers, brads, flower, ribbon

Dressy Miss Anya

This week's share for Unscripted Sketches # 22 uses an image from The Greeting Farm, called Miss Anya Dressy. She's a cutie pie, as are all the TGF stamps. I just love the Ian and Anya series of images!

First the sketch for this week:

Now my take on it. Again, I flipped it ... guess I enjoy modifying sketches, hehe.

Hop on over to Unscripted Sketches to see the other Design Team members take on this week's sketch. I hope you will consider playing along ... if you do decide to play, be sure to leave a post in Mr. Linky so I can see your creative take on the sketch!

I can't resist one more look at pretty Miss Anya ... just a little bit closer:

Supplies: Miss Anya Dressy image, Nestabilities, Copic markers, DCWV cardstock, ric rak, unknown pattern paper (gift).
